Public Inquiry Consultation
A Public Inquiry can be called due to poor maintenance, PG9's, S marked Prohibitions, Drivers Hours infringements, environmental matters or as a result of objections from residents or official bodies.
At a Public Inquiry the Traffic Commissioner will investigate any apparent shortcomings and give you the opportunity to explain what you are doing to improve compliance with the rules and show evidence to support this. The Traffic Commissioner will then decide whether he can trust you to comply in the future, whether any action should be taken against your licence/application and if so, what form that action might take.
A Public Inquiry is a legal hearing and should be treated as such. It is often unwise to attend such hearings without legal/professional representation. Detailed case preparation will ensure that a Public Inquiry is dealt with professionally and that the Operator's Licence is safeguarded.
JAP Consultancy can provide you with legal/professional representation.
